What you need

  • RemoteRelay running with a capturable display or session.
  • Screen-recording permission on systems that require it.
  • An enabled screen source in Alexa, Apple Home or Home Assistant and a compatible client to display it.

Getting started

  1. Choose the display to capture, especially on multi-monitor setups.
  2. Enable capture and grant the permission required by your operating system.
  3. Check the snapshot or view from your ecosystem. Use it to visually inspect a long-running process.
  4. Disable the source when no longer needed and test how locking or signing out affects capture.

Compatibility and limits

Viewing the desktop as a camera is not an RDP session and does not guarantee unrestricted mouse and keyboard control. Screen locks and permissions can restrict capture. Desktop HKSV recording and automatic task-result detection are not promised.
